The good people of the Portland Pirate Festival are making a go at it to keep the fest alive. Want to help and have a grown-up good time? Ger YAR-self to the Swashbucklers’ Ball:
Join the finest and most spirited buccaneer crews what ever sailed the streets of Portland! Kick up yer heels to some rousing tunes and hoist yer tankards to celebrate all things piratical, at the Swashbuckler’s Ball!
Thems that attends be the lucky ones! Rock to the music of Chervona, The Lost Highwaymen, Sam Bam Boo, and The Bilgerats & Pyrettes. Slake yer thirst at a no-host bar (featuring Kraken Rum) and fill yer bellies with tasty Caribbean food. Try yer luck at winning from a treasure trove of glorious raffle prizes, and spend yer doubloons in the Pirate’s Marketplace, where well-known merchants from far and wide will be selling their wondrous wares and donating a significant percentage of their proceeds to the cause.
General admission tickets are just $14 in advance and $18 at the door. There are also special VIP packages available that include raffle tickets, food and drink scrip, and “swag bags”.
All profits will benefit Portland Pirate Festival. An annual event since 2006, the Portland Pirate Festival has earned its place as both a cultural mainstay in our greater Portland community and a popular gathering place fer our brethren from all shores. Alas, in the wake of Poseidon’s wrath (truly spectacular rainfall deluged our Festival in 2010), the future of the event is in jeopardy.

The 2010 Portland Pirate Festival will be at Cathedral Park in St. John’s on September 18-19. Milagros will be there again with special festival deals, and a rest area for kids and parents a like!
The Pirate Festival is filled with great activities for kids and parents – music, performances, play areas, food, historical reenactments and more!
Ticksts for the fest are available now at Milagros. Advance sale tickets are Milagros are $12 per day for adults, $6 per day for kids (children 2 and under are free).
