Cloth Diapering 101 is at Milagros this Saturday at 11am. This class is free and informative.
Why do people choose cloth diapering? We did a recent poll on our facebook page and the number one reason for choosing cloth diapers was to save money. No argument there, we have saved thousands of dollars as a family by swaddling our kids in cotton instead of, well… who knows! Speaking of which saving the planet and avoid chemicals/toxins were both close behind and the biggest reasons for choosing cloth.
Other reasons mentioned? The tons of cute colors and prints to choose from (No argument there! Just check out what Bummis offers! That is only one of of the many lines are have at Milagros!) and a distrust of disposable diaper companies (no comment).
The Cloth Diapering 101 classes at Milagros are casual gatherings where participants learn all about cloth diapering and get hands-on advice on diapering choices from one of Milagros’ expert staffers. It is also a chance to meet other parents who are using cloth diapers or thinking about it.
Cloth Diapering 101 at Milagros is free and no RSVP is required. Next class is Saturday, May 28 at 11am.

We now offer our FREE Cloth Diapering 101 twice a month at Milagros!
In response to demand, we have added a second regular session of our intro to cloth diapering class. The Cloth Diapering 101 classes at Milagros are casual gatherings where participants learn all about cloth diapering and get hands-on advice on diapering choices from one of Milagros’ expert staffers. It is also a chance to meet other parents who are using cloth diapers or thinking about it.
There has definitely been a renewed interest in traditional cloth diapering due to it being the most environmentally friendly and natural option for infant hygiene as well as the least expensive (I guess other than going diaper free). Cloth diapering choices are pin-free and easy and you can save thousands of dollars just by choosing cloth diapers over disposable options.
Cloth Diapering 101 at Milagros is free and no RSVP is required. Next class is Sunday, February 13 at 11am.

We love these changing pads made locally by Cozy Bunny. They are 100 percent wool are are upcycled from Pendleton mills overruns.
Wool is naturally bacterial and moisture resistant. Plus it is so much nicer to place your baby on a soft wool pad than cold vinyl pad.
The pad rolls up and packs up with its own ties for easy portability and it can also be used as a small blanket.

Not surprisingly, we often have folks asking us about cloth diaper care at the shop and via email. We have posted in the past about our cloth diaper washing routine at home. To this I wanted to add that along with not using fabric softener in the wash using dryer sheets is a no-no as well.
Like fabric softener, the sheets will coat the diapers thus creating a residue problem that may impact the absorbancy of your diapers.
