Milagros is proud to host free support opportunities for parents and parents to be on breastfeeding topics.
New Parent & Breastfeeding Support Group Every Thursday, 2:30pm: Come weigh your baby, connect with other mothers, ask questions, and get evidence based information about feeding a new baby at our weekly support group! We will offer information and non-judgemental support. This group will be hosted by Karla Nussbaum, IBCLC and Lea Lipscomb, lactation educator. Friends, family and other support people are welcome. No need to pre-register, just come when you can!
Nursing Mothers Counsel Breastfeeding Preparation Class, 4th Thursday of Every Month, 6:00pm: Breastfeeding is the most natural and healthy way to feed your baby, but it does not always come naturally. This free support class at Milagros that provides guidance on how to initiate a successful breastfeeding relationship, ensuring a proper latch, how often to breastfeed, how to address common problems or concerns, and much more. This class taught by the good people at Nursing Mothers Counsel is a casual setting to get your questions answered. It is open to mothers to be as well as their the partners, friends, and family. Free, no rsvp required.

Milagros is open but we are heading to Seattle for the La Leche League Conference! Milagros is proud to be a sponsor of this educational event that supports breastfeeding.
We carry a full line of breastfeeding support items at Milagros every day including Medela breast pumps and pump parts, nursing bras, and supportive products from Earth Mama Angel Baby – including Milkmaid Tea and Nipple Butter!
Also, if you have questions about breastfeeding, we encourage you to contact your local chapter of La Leche League. Their peer support leaders are ready to answer your questions and most local chapters also have regular meetings for mamas to meet and greet.
Nursing Mothers Counsel is another wonderful support group for breastfeeding. NMC offers a free breastfeeding class at Milagros on the 4th Thursday of every month at 6:30pm.
The next NMC breastfeeding class at Milagros is October 28th.
