Shop and Support Concerts in the Park!

Posted April 8th, 2012 in Milagros News | Comments Off

Shop at Milagros on Monday, April 9th to Support Concerts in the Park

You probably guessed it but we are big supporters of music. We host local musicians every week at Milagros and feature a lot of wonderful local music for families on our shelves.

A summer highlight for our family every year is the summer concerts that grace Portland’s parks. These concerts provide an opportunity for us to all connect as a community and to share in a wonderful free musical experience. Of course, nothing is really free. Staging these concerts every year costs thousands of dollars and many hours of volunteer support. The only way the concerts can happen is if they are able to raise the money they needs from local businesses and community members.

Milagros has been a supporter of the summer concerts at Fernhill Park since they started; in fact, Tony Fuentes volunteered on the concert committee for several years. We invite you to join us in supporting the 2012 Concerts in Fernhill Park and we have made it super easy to join us:

All you need to do is shop at Milagros on Monday, April 9th.

25 percent of all sales this Monday will be used to support the Fernhill Summer Concert Series.

Hope to see you soon at Milagros and in the park this summer!

Peace,

Jennifer, Tony, Mila & Gael
