Tony Fuentes Wore Cloth Diapers
Cloth Diapering 101 is at Milagros this Saturday 11am. This class is free and informative.
Why do people choose cloth diapering? The number one reason among our customers for choosing cloth diapers is to save money (you will save thousands!). Saving the planet and avoid chemicals/toxins are a close second.
The Cloth Diapering 101 classes at Milagros are casual gatherings where participants learn all about cloth diapering and get hands-on advice on diapering choices from one of Milagros’ expert staffers. It is also a chance to meet other parents who are using cloth diapers or thinking about it.
Cloth Diapering 101 at Milagros is free! See you this Saturday at 11am!

Someone needs a helmet...
The City of Portland has been working hard to secure funding for Sunday Parkways and we are ready to do our part… with your help!
We will donate 25 percent of all our sales at Milagros on Wednesday, May 2nd to support the 2012 Sunday Parkways.
Even though we aren’t a bike business, Sunday Parkways reflect our values as a business and as a family. The Parkways are special community events that help neighbors get connected and enjoy the health benefits of biking and walking in a fun way.
Supporting local community events & schools has been an on-going mission for Milagros but we can’t do it without you!
How can you help? Easy peasy! Come shop at Milagros on Wednesday, May 2nd in our Portland Boutique or on-line and tell all your friends to do the same! The more shoppers we see the more we can to do support Sunday Parkways.
So come get some great locally made baby swag and support a wonderful event on May 2nd! Win win!
P.S. The first Sunday Parkways this year is in NE Portland on May 13th. Milagros will be closed for Mother’s Day but our Fox Chase neighbors would love to see you. Many will be having special deals plus there are two bike corrals and other bike parking in the area. So come see your friends on the corner!

Cord Blood Banking Options Workshop, Sunday, April 15th, 11:00am: From the Instructor: Did you know the stem cells in your baby’s umbilical cord blood can now be used to treat nearly 80 diseases, including cancers and blood disorders? Are you interested to hear how doctors have recently started using cord blood to treat brain injuries, diabetes, and hearing loss?
Come learn about your options to donate or save your baby’s cord blood stem cells. Cord blood can only be collected at the time of the baby’s birth, so it is important to think through the decision well before your delivery date.
Donating cord blood benefits society by providing stem cells that can be used in life saving treatments for sick patients. Saving your baby’s stem cells for your own family can provide access to life saving therapies as well as emerging treatments that require a patient’s own cells.
Mark Benkoske is an expert in cord blood and has educated thousands of families about their options for banking these powerful cells. Please feel free to come to this casual gathering with any questions or a just curiosity to learn more. Light snacks will be provided. For more information, please call 503-929-2788 or email mbenkoske@cordblood.com
