Shadow Puppet Theatre at Milagros

David Freleng brings his Shadow Puppet Theatre to Milagros every Friday at 10:30am!
David’s performances are interactive, kids help act out the plays and games. Children are encouraged to let their creativity and imagination run rampant as they are in control of what happens in the story.

New Parents Infant CPR Class at Milagros
When: Tuesday, September 14th 2010 6:00pm – 8:30pm

Join Red Cross instructor Art Graves for this special CPR and first aid class that is designed for new parents. This class will provided hands-on instruction on what to do if your infant or child is choking, rescue breathing, basic CPR and First Aid. You are welcome to bring your baby with you to this class.
Class fee is $25 and registration is required. To register contact Shelley or Carolina at the Oregon Trail Chapter of the Red Cross at 503.280.1440 and let them know they are registering for the “New Parents” class at Milagros.
Please note: No certification is provided as part of this class.

MusikGarten Demo Class - FREE

MusikGarten is a fun music class for small children and their caregivers. Come sing, dance and play with instruments with your little one and others. Meet other families and join in the fun of group music making. The MusikGarten curriculum builds the foundations for active life long music making (not just listening). Active music making encourages core developmental skills such as listening, taking turns, language development, and more!

Diaper Free Meeting at Milagros

Diaper Free Baby Meetings are at Milagros on the third Wednesday of the month, 2 pm – 3 pm.
Diaper Free Baby of Portland is a local, free support group that helps promote a natural approach to responding to babies’ elimination needs. This practice is followed worldwide and is known as Elimination Communication, Natural Infant Hygiene, and Infant Potty Training. The process involves observing one’s baby’s signs and signals, providing cue sounds and elimination-place associations, and can be done with or without any diaper use.

"Piano Pixies" Introduction to Piano Class at Milagros

Pfeifer MusicWerks Studio Presents at Milagros “Piano Pixies” introduction to piano class. This free class is designed to give students’ ages 3-5 years old and their parents a taste of the enjoyment of playing piano and music instruction at Pfeifer MusicWerks Studio for the preschool student.
If you love the idea of your young child taking piano lessons and enjoying it then this class is for you! This isn’t the same music lessons you took from the little old neighborhood lady piano teacher. Come and meet teachers from the Pfeifer MusicWerks Studio and see how we teach creative piano lessons to your preschool student, while providing a structured and nurturing environment.

Breastfeeding is the most natural and healthy way to feed your baby, but it does not always come naturally. Learn how to initiate a successful breastfeeding relationship. Topics include: benefits of breastfeeding, proper latch, how often to breastfeed, common early problems or concerns, troubleshooting. Partners/Friends/Family are welcome and encouraged to attend.
