To help fill the gap on funding for the free summer concert series at Portland’s Fernhill Park, Milagros is hosting a “Shop to Support Summer Concerts” event on Tuesday, May 17.
Milagros has been a sponsor of the summer concerts at Fernhill park since they began. Like many non-profit events that rely on donations, the Fernhill Summer Concerts series is struggling to fill the gap on funding for this summer’s concert series.
The Fernhill Summer Concerts are always a summer highlight for us. We love the music and the festive atmosphere that brings the community together at these events. We are proud to continue our support of the summer concerts and hope we can provide even more significant support by hosting this shopping day.
Please help us support the Fernhill Summer Concerts!
Twenty percent of all sales on Tuesday, May 17th at Milagros in our Portland boutique and on-line will support these free community concerts!
Haven’t had a chance to catch Professor Banjo in action at Milagros? You have one more chance! His last Milagros show is tomorrow (Wednesday, March 16) at 1pm!
In real life he is Paul Silveria but on stage the Professor performs solo banjo in the old time “claw hammer” style. His songs range from up tempo instrumentals and novelty tunes to country blues and moody mountain ballads. Sometimes the Professor dons a special one man band kite with drum, tambourine, kazoo, bell, spoons and more!
$3 suggested donation per walking human for the artist.
Mister Hoo of The Alphabeticians returns to Milagros for his regular visit tomorrow, November 10, at 11am.
Mister Hoo (Jeff Inlay) is just 3 years shy of 47 and, though familiar with the alphabet since childhood, has only grown to love it in recent years. A father of 2 and resident of West Linn, he has been in more bands than he can count (although he claims he can only count to 3), but is most well known for playing in Portland 90′s sensation Hummingfish, and is least well known for his time in Southern California punk band the Mendicant Sauciers. He’s also confident he was not in Led Zeppelin.
Come sing some songs with the Mister at Milagros tomorrow at 11am! $3 suggested donation per walking human for the artist.
