Mama Care Group focuses on mothering beyond the first year. BBC New Mom groups meet in SW Portland, SE Portland and Vancouver, WA. Find us also on Meet-up! Taya – Live Music for Families at Milagros, Tuesday, May 15th, 10:30am: Taya rocks the house at Milagros! Suggested donation is $3 per walking human.

Car Free Cupcake Wednesday at Milagros! Wednesday, May 16th: Why not leave the car at home when you shop at Milagros on Wednesdays in May. Need a little something to sweeten the deal? How about a delish cupcake from Robots Love Cupcakes? Limit one per customer, purchase is reuired. While cupcakes last!

Little Kids Jamboree at Milagros! Wednesday, May 16th, 10:30am: Lorna Miller’s Little Kids’ Jamboree is an interactive fun, music event for families with little ones up to the ages of eight years. The whole family gets into the act. Simple rhythm instruments are provided, singing, movement and imagination is all a part of the Jamboree. Suggested donation, $3 per walking person.

Diaper Free Meeting at Milagros, Wednesday, May 16th, 2:00pm: Diaper Free Baby of Portland is a local, free support group that helps promote a natural approach to responding to babies’ elimination needs. This practice is followed worldwide and is known as Elimination Communication, Natural Infant Hygiene, and Infant Potty Training. The process involves observing one’s baby’s signs and signals, providing cue sounds and elimination-place associations, and can be done with or without any diaper use.

Mo Phillips – Music for Families at Milagros, Thursday, May 17th, 10:30am: Join Mo Phillips for music and fun at Milagros every Thursday at 10:30 am. Suggested donation is $3 per walking human. http://www.mophillips.com/

Music with Mr. Hoo at Milagros, Friday, May 18th, 11:00am: Mr. Hoo from The Alphabeticians – http://www.thealphabeticians.com – will be singing songs with and for kids. He’ll play his guitar and sing some original songs, some Alphabeticians songs, some classic kid songs and Hoo knows what else? $3 suggested donation per walking human for the artist.

Babywearing 101 at Milagros, Saturday, May 19th, 11:00am: Need some help figuring out how to wear your baby? Wondering what baby sling, wrap, or other carrier is the best fit for you? Or maybe you need some assistance with the baby carrier you already have? Join the babywearing experts at Milagros for this free, casual supportive class.

Portland Metro Mocha Moms Chat and Playgroup, Sunday, May 20th, 2:00pm: Join the Portland Metro Mocha Moms for good conversation and good company. This support group meeting (aka chat and plays) allows moms to discuss important parenting (and personal) issues while the children play! Mocha Moms, is a support group for mothers of color. Anyone who supports the mission of Mocha Moms is welcome!
