Infant CPR for New Parents, Tuesday, July 13, 6:00pm: This class provides hands-on instruction on what to do if your infant or child is choking, rescue breathing, basic CPR and First Aid. You are welcome to bring your baby with you to this class. We offer this class on the second Tuesday of every month. Class fee is $25. More information and/or to register.
Mo Phillips, Thursday, July 15, 10:30am: Join Mo Phillips for rockin’ music fun for little ones and adults. Suggested donation is $3 per walking human.
Self Portrait Art Class Series Begins, Thursday, July 15, Noon: Children will learn basic portrait drawing skills and will have an opportunity to create self portraits in a few different mediums in this five week art class series! Creating Art with Found Objects, Thursday, July 15, 1:30pm: Children will learn how to find beauty in the things ordinary people call junk as they hunt for treasures at home! We will draw/create self portraits, dream houses, and anything else that our imaginations can think of! $10 fee for class and materials. Shadow Puppet Workshop, Friday, July 16, 10:00am: This performance/workshop is designed to have the participants create their own shadow puppet play. Using simple materials, children are encouraged to let their creativity and imagination run rampant as they are in control of what happens in the story. You will be floored by the performances your kids and their friends will create. Time of performance is approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. $15 class fee (all materials provided). Ideal for ages 6-12. Tap Dance Star Charon Aldredge Book Reading and Performance, Saturday, July 17, 11am: Charon Aldredge has performed in Riverdance, Manhattan Tap, and The Jazz Tap Ensemble. She also performs original poetry and recently authored a children’s book about performing. Charon will be at Milagros for a reading and book signing on Saturday, July 17, 11am-1pm.
