Wave of Support for Haiti from Local Businesses!

UPDATED 1/21, 3:46 PM: Since we announced our commitment to support disaster relief in Haiti via Twitter, we have been hearing from more and more local businesses who are doing the same. Here is a list of businesses committed to supporting disaster relief in Haiti.

The list continues to grow! We are certain there are many other businesses pitching in for disaster relief beyond this list.

We’ll do our best to keep updating the list.

We encourage you to check it before you shop, drink, and dine:

Shopping:

  • Milagros (that’s us!) is donating 10 percent of all sales (in store and on-line) though Monday to assist the people of Haiti by funding Mercy Corps’ response to the disaster.

  • Cellar Door Coffee has joined us! They are donating 10 percent of all sales through Sundayto Mercy Corps!
  • Alma Chocolate is donating 10 percent of all sales through Monday to Mercy Corps!
  • Cupcake Jones is doing a fundraiser for the Red Cross today (1/16) contacted us to let us know about local businesses coming together to support the Red Cross today (1/16).
  • Extracto Coffeehouse is donating 10 percent of sale to Mercy Corps through Monday.
  • Lincoln is donating 5 percent of sales this weekend to Mercy Corps.
  • Firehouse will donate 5% of all sales 1/20 – 1/24 to Mercy Corps.
  • Juniors Cafe is donating 15% of sales this weekend to Mercy Corps.
  • New Seasons is accepting donations to Mercy Corps at all locations and will match up to $10,000!
  • Food Fight Grocery is donating 10% of this weekend’s sales to Partners In Health (the non-profit profiled in “Mountains Beyond Mountains”)
  • Whiffies is donating 10% of this weekends sales to Mercy Corps
  • Big Ass Sandwich This Wednesday 1/20, 100% of profit & tips will go to Mercy Corps.
  • Our neighbors Beast are hosting benefit dinners for Haiti on Jan 26 & Feb 2. The dinners will feature a four-course French-Haitian dinner plus a silent auction. Seatings at 6pm and 8 pm, Tuesdays, Jan. 26 and Feb. 2. $100 per person. Reservations by phone only: 503-841-6968

Health and Wellness Services:

  • L??yly Sauna -Donating $10 for any massage booked through Sunday to Mercy Corps.
  • Spirit Body Massage has joined in! They are donating 10% of all sales this next week to Mercy Corps!
  • Mudita Massage is donating $15 for any massage booked through 1/22 to Mercy Corps.
  • Naturokits is donating 25% of all online sales through Monday to Mercy Corps.
  • Dekum Family Health is also supporting Mercy Corps! They are donating 10% of sales from all clinic services and supplements Jan 14-30.
  • Zenana Spa is donating 10 percent of sales Jan. 18 – 31 to Mercy Corps!

Other Services and Businesses:

  • Parenting Unplugged Radio is donating 100% of all their proceeds this week to Mercy Corps. They reflected on the disaster on their show today (Episode 92) – Laura has spent a lot of time in Haiti.
  • Urban Bliss will donate 10 percent of all sales through Monday to Mercy Corps.
  • Simply Silhouettes is donating 10 percent of sales to Mercy Corps for the rest of January!
  • We have heard from other businesses who are making direct donations to Mercy Corps as part of this campaign including Whiffies, Kids at Heart, A Repeat Performance, and Autentica.
  • Our friends at the Vita Cafe have let us know of their support for the Mangrove Fund.
  • Mt Hood Vacation Rentals For every reservation with an arrival date between January 15 – 31, 2010, they will donate $5 to Mercy Corps.
  • Sara Gray Photography is donating 5% of all wedding bookings through the end of January to Mercy Corps.
  • Law Offices of Candice Aiston is donating $100 to Mercy Corps for each person who sets up a Family Wealth Planning Session before 1/31
  • The Power MOB will be donating 15% of all new membership applications, event registrations and merchandise that are posted online now through midnight, Monday, January 18th to the Red Cross relief efforts.
  • Emily R?¬©fi, Architect LLC is donating 5% of proceeds through the end of January to Mercy Corps
  • Sound Roots School of Music will contribute 10% of all rockband camp proceeds from now until Feb 28th to Mercy Corps!
  • Hip Mama Zine will donate 10% of every subscription over $20 purchased before the end of the month to Mercy Corps!

You don’t need to shop and such to lend your support. We encourage you to provide direct support to Mercy Corps for their emergency response to the earthquake in Haiti. Donate here.
