Diaper Free Baby Meeting, Wednesday, 12/16, 2 pm. Free. Diaper Free Baby of Portland is a local, free support group that helps promote a natural approach to responding to babies’ elimination needs. If you are using this method, interested in finding out more, or are just curious, please come by!
An essential for us when we did diaper free with our little ones was the Baby Bjorn little potty — and, of course, we do offer it at Milagros.
Nursing Mothers Counsel Breastfeeding Class, Thursday, 12/17, 6pm. Free. Breastfeeding is the most natural and healthy way to feed your baby, but it does not always come naturally. This free support class at Milagros that provides guidance on how to initiate a successful breastfeeding relationship, ensuring a proper latch, how often to breastfeed, how to address common problems or concerns, and much more.
This class taught by the good people at Nursing Mothers Counsel is a casual setting to get your questions answered. It is open not only to nursing mothers and mothers to be but the partners, friends, family as well. Free, no rsvp required.

Please Note: This class typically happens every month at Milagros on the fourth Thursday at 6 pm. Due to the holidays, the December class is a week early.
NE Moms Playgroup, Friday, 12/18, 2 pm. Free. The NE Moms playgroup meets at Milagros every other Friday at 2:00pm. The group is open to all, there is no charge and no RSVP is required. Bringing a snack to share is encouraged but not required and as with any playgroup please help keeping things cleaned-up and safe!
