Mila is sporting the superbad wristcuff she picked up at Held last night. Held is a vegan accessory studio and shop (belts mainly) that opened up next to the beloved Vita Cafe on Alberta Street in our fair city. Yes, I know talk about your niches – a vegan belt boutique?
Anyhoo, Mila is clearly ready to take on a role in a prequel to The Runaways, playing Lita Ford or Joan Jett at age 7.
Speaking of which, I really, really love Joan Jett (not in an entirely unhealthy way) and the idea of creating a movie about The Runaways using today’s starlets makes me cringe. Truly.
If a biopic of The Runaways must be made – and I personally don’t think it does – than the casting should reflect what the band was: a bunch of young unknowns thrown suddenly into the spotlight. How about casting some of the Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls grads instead? In fact, if you must watch a film about girls finding their musical voice and gelling as a band, just watch this.
