Family Friendly Halloween!

Posted October 27th, 2009 in Milagros News

jackolanternsWe can’t wait until Halloween! Costumes are being made, great plans for trick-or-treating are being laid and anticipation is filling the house.  We will be manning the candy bowl at home come night fall but during the day, we will be handing out special treats to all our little customers at Milagros.

Fear not, no sugar in our shop’s treat bowl! Just come in anytime during store hours on Halloween (11am – 6pm) and your kids can get a free fun wooden Milagros top or a special Milagros pirate tattoo while supplies last. Costumes are welcome, of course, but not required and no purchase is required either.

But we aren’t the only family friendly Halloween stop to make over in our little slice of the world.

Our friends over at grasshopper (1816 NE Alberta St.) have fun custom made coloring pages and other Halloween fun. And the good people at Green Bean Books (which features an awesome selection of new and used children’s books!) at 1600 NE Alberta is having a special Halloween story time at 3pm with local illustrator Lee White.  And, of course, McMenamins’ Kennedy School is doing their annual Trick or Treating celebration as well (4 pm – 6:30 pm).

But there is even more! You can find all the family-friendly locations to hit during the day on Halloween on this map (kudos to Jennifer at Green Bean Books for making it).

Happy Halloween!
