Suspended from Twitter? What the?
So we have been using twitter the past couple of months and we LOVE it! BUT just back from a delightful weekend, logged on to twitter and…we’re suspended? Eek!
As far as I can tell, we haven’t violated any terms of service. Has anyone else had this type of unpleasant surprise? Has twitter been able to resolve these issues in the past?
Here’s hoping this gets resolved and we can tweet again as milagrospdx!
UPDATE – 8:51 pm, July 5, 2009: Apparently a bunch of accounts were suspended by mistake today and Twitter is fixing it. So if you were among the many suspended today, you are far from alone.
Twitter status posted the following less than an hour ago:
“Earlier today, we accidentally suspended a number of accounts.
We regret the human error that led to these mistaken suspensions and we are working to restore the affected accounts—we expect this to be completed in the next several hours.
One additional note: some the accounts suspended were using the third-party site Tweetlater. However, Tweetlater is not to blame for these suspensions nor is it in violation of our Terms.”
We use tweetlater to manage our account, we can only assume this was the reason for our accidental suspension. The good news is that we are back tweeting at milagrospdx!
