Activistas Hosts Motherhood Manifesto at Milagros

Posted July 9th, 2008 in film, Milagros News, public policy

From Activistas:

We’re excited to announce that we are hosting a screening of The Motherhood Manifesto, the little film that inspired the creation of this very site. It’s been a while since we’ve hosted a get together for our Activistas mamas, and since the issues highlighted in this film are the very topics that bring us together, why not watch it together? We’re sure some interesting discussion will follow.

So, if you’re excited about spending time with some other mamas, or if you’re dying to see this movie, or you’re just looking for a reason to go out without the kids, come join the fun. Bring some food or drink to share if you can, and feel free to invite some friends along.

When? Thursday, July 10th, 2008 at 7 pm
Where? Milagros Boutique at 5429 NE 30th Ave

If you know you’ll be there, we’d love it if you could post a comment to this post on Activistas. Of course, if you don’t decide until the last minute, that’s fine too. We know how it is.

PS – This event will be filmed for a We The People episode on gender and the US Presidential elections on Al Jazeera English TV. Get famous! Help spread the word about women’s issues in the U.S.
