Blueberries at Home
One of our favorite summer activities – if summer actually ever arrives – is picking berries. Strawberries, blueberries, rasberries, blackberries…you name it! We had planned on strawberry picking this weekend but the season is starting late this year. Probably at least another week until Kruger’s opens up for u-pick.
In lieu of picking berries, we went to Seven Dees and picked up a handful of blueberry bushes (we save 20 percent with a coupon from the Chinook Book). We have our bushes planted in a nice sunny spot in the backyard, now we will just wait and see.
We don’t have much experience in the world of gardening. So we have our fingers crossed and will let you know what happens!
