PDX Kids Swap at Milagros

Clean out your little lovey’s closet(s) and gather up unwanted, clean
children’s clothing and accessories they’ve outgrown or are no longer
using and bring them to the swap!

WHAT: Free children’s clothing swap

WHEN: Saturday May 17th **Please see below for times staggered by size**
11:00am size 0 through size 24 months and maternity clothing
11:30am size 2T-6
12:00pm size 7-14+
Each swap will last about 30 minutes, be sure to arrive a little early.

Milagros Boutique is located one block South of NE Killingsworth
(between Killingsworth and Emerson) in Portland. Enter through the
door to the left of the main store entrance; there will be signs
directing you to the swap. While you’re there, feel free to browse

BRING: Clean clothes in good condition with no rips, tears, visible
stains, etc. There are no minimum requirements for how many items you
have to bring or how many you can take but please be courteous and
generous. Don’t forget to bring a bag to carry home your treasures.

In addition to clothing you can also bring lightly used children’s
accessories and toys:
socks, shoes, and boots
hats, scarves, and mittens
sunglasses and swimsuits
bibs and bottles
books, tapes, and CD’s
videos, and DVDs
small toys
maternity clothes*
*If you are or you know anyone who is going to have a baby but has
nothing to swap, please encourage them to join us, we always have
plenty of 0 to 24 month baby clothes and other baby items.

Items that do not get swapped will be donated to low income and high
needs families in our pdx community.

If you have any questions about the swap or are not already on our
email list and would like to receive email notification of future
children’s clothing swaps send us an email with the size and gender of
clothing you will bring and the size and gender of clothing you need
(we will not spam or sell your name to anyone.) The only “membership”
rule is that you be respectful and have fun! Please bring only things
listed on what to bring list.

HOW IT WORKS: Clothes will be separated into three major size groups
and marked with signs. Add the clothes you bring into the matching
size piles. It is recommended that you separate your clothing by size
before the swap to save time and be sure to arrive a little early. The
swap will begin as soon as everyone has finished placing their clothes
in the appropriate size piles and the swap coordinator starts the
swap. When the swap begins look through the piles to find the items in
the sizes you need and put them in your bag.

NOTE: Milagros has a small area available for children to play and
the swap area is child proofed. Child care is NOT provided. You are responsible to supervising your child.

NEXT SWAP: We try to meet once every few months depending on schedules
and availability of the meeting areas. We will also let you know of
other swaps in the pdx area that we know about.
