Happy Birthday Little Guy!
Today is Gael s first birthday!
Time certainly flies. It seems like only yesterday that he was a tiny little baby. Now he is a big, beautiful, crazy, red-headed boy who loves to explore. Which means that he gets into absolutely everything. We are, of course, nothing but proud of and smitten with the little guy and our incredible daughter, Mila.
Are two kids harder than one? I have to say yes ummm, exponentially so! However the biggest challenge has been ensuring that we the parents, the big people get the time we need to recharge ourselves, both together and as individuals. I must admit that this isn t something that we have quite mastered, now that we are a family of four. That said, I also haven t met anyone with a magic formula for this, so at least we re normal!
Anyhoo, there has been no shortage or fun and chaos- in the house this past year. Some personal highlights were our first camping experience with Gael (at the Pickathon, which rocked!), our family dates at local coffeehouses, and our family hikes. Needless to say, we are looking forward to making even more memories as a family of four in the years to come! Peace.
