Diaper Free Baby Gathering 7/18
Yes the image below may seem a little odd to some. It is a newborn Gael “on the potty.” Trying to explain this practice to my folks over the phone, resulted in a little awkward
silence as well. BUT they were more understanding when they saw it in action.
We have been going “diaper-free” on a part time basis with Gael since he was born and let me say – as a former skeptic myself – 1) it works! 2) it really isn’t burdensome or overly challenging, 3) you don’t have to do it ALL the time, and 4) we are doing LESS laundry.
IT is synonymously referred to as “elimination communication,” “diaper free,” and “natural hygiene.” So if you are doing IT or thinking about IT…definitely come to one of the monthly Diaper Free Baby meetings at Milagros.
It is an easy way to get questions answered and remove some of the mystery of what it takes to lose the diaper sometimes or all the time. We host the local chapter of the non-profit Diaper Free Baby on the third Wednesday of every month from 1 pm – 3 pm. The next meeting is tomorrow. Free, casual, no RSVP required!
