Tiny Tim Would Be Proud…

We spent a couple of hours yesterday tip toeing through the tulips at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm outside of Woodburn, Oregon. Their annual Tulip Festival is in full swing and continues until April 22.
The weather wasn’t perfect, it was a little cool and it rained here and there but we still had a great time and spent a couple hours walking through the fields, enjoying a picnic, and playing with the kids. Mila picked out her own clothes yesterday and was fully prepared for the cold – she had FIVE dresses on!
The tulip field is at its peak right now and was absolutely beautiful. I don’t know if these pictures do it justice. In addition to the fields they have a kids area with slides, horse swings, rubber duck races, and more. On the weekends, there are more activities including a craft fair, pony rides, and special entertainment.
The Wooden Shoe Farm is about a 45 minute drive from Portland. Directions may be found on the Tulip Festival Website. Tulip festival admission is free on weekdays, $5 per car on weekends.
