Super XX Man Will Be There!
Along with Sour Apple Productions and Film Action Oregon, we are presenting fundraiser for the 2008 Portland Women s Film Festival and momsrising.org. at the Hollywood Theatre (4122 NE Sandy Blvd) on May 12th: Motherhood Manifesto Day!
Motherhood Manifesto Day will feature an exclusive screening of The Motherhood Manifesto at 1:30 pm, a special FREE Mother s Day Market starting at 10:00AM, and a FREE musical performance by Super XX Man as his mighty band at 11:00 AM!
Who is Super XX Man? By day, Super XX Man (a.k.a. Scott Garred) is a musical therapist working in the maximum-security wing of the Oregon State Hospital. By night he creates bittersweet folksongs of love and memory with the help of his band which includes his wife, Michelle Garred, on accordion.
Scott and Michelle and their sweet little guy Cy (all pictured here) are regulars at the store. It is really great to have them donate their time and effort to this great event.
