Graffiti!
We got hit last night! And so did a lot of our neighbors: Herbivore, Cup and Saucer, The Core Source, Extracto, Blackbird Tattoo, Yakuza, Grolla, Winston’s…basically almost every one.
There have been graffiti issues in the area in the past but this time it isn’t something that can be painted over or wiped off with a solvent. No sir….
Whoever decided to do this etched their tag in the glass of our windows and windows all over the neighborhood. The fix? For us, professional grinding, filling, buffing, and shining to the tune of $400.
We are far from alone on this. All of the businesses who are having to deal with this are small, local businesses like us. Having a few extra hundred bucks in the bank isn’t the norm for these good folks. For some folks it was even worse. Herbivore, Extracto, and The Core Source were all broken into earlier this week. So this is more salt into their existing wounds.
I don’t really understand graffiti. It is such a waste of energy and resources for the businesses and for whomever does this kind of thing. Anyway we’ll have our fingers crossed that we don’t need to deal with this again in the near future.
By the way, if you experience graffiti or see any in your neighborhood. Be sure to document it and report it to the city.

They quoted us $475 to fix our windows.
I love art but this was just lame!
