Baby Wearing Gathering and Other Weekend Ideas
At Milagros we are hosting the March Nine In Nine Out Babywearing Gathering this Sunday, March 18 from 11 am – 1 pm. Here are some other ideas for this weekend:
- 3/17, Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! There are events all over town but we generally opt for the celebration at McMenamins Kennedy School which features lots of great music and fun for free!
- 3/17, 11:00am A Carnaval Extravaganza at the North Portland Library! Learn to make masks and enjoy the music of Bobby Fouther.
- 3/17, 3:00pm Bicycle Maintenance for Teens at Holgate Library. Nationally known Bicycling Magazine columnist and author Joe Metal Cowboy Kurmaskie will offer up the best tips for repairing and maintaining your bike. For teens in grades 6-12.
- 3/18, The Grease Ball at the Wonder Ballroom!
Other ideas? The weather has been lovely and spring flowers are beginning to bloom, so how about a trip to Crystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens to stroll the trails, feed the ducks, and look at the lovely flowers. If you want to same on admission, the gardens are free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The Oregon Zoo is also a great stop on a sunny day. We hit the zoo yesterday. They have finished the Northwest Forest section of the Zoo and it was great to see the black bears and cougars.
